Translucent Duo (Bernard Lagana and David Lockeridge) has humble beginnings – two friends who wanted to make great music together. Choosing the medium of contemporary classical music, “Diversions” a piece by American composer William Penn made this initial collaboration possible. Both separately and together, the duo have worked to create and develop what is their evolving, unique brand of performance art; engaging audiences through virtuosity and energy.
Translucent Duo are building on their previous successes with many exhilarating projects including their first international tour to Hong Kong in April 2013, the very exciting commission of a new work by Matthew Orlovich; Whirled Music and regional tours around NSW, exhibit the duo as both soloists and performers in the duo. These tours give the duo a chance to give master classes and workshops to regional students. Translucent Duo’s highly engaging performance style and energy is becoming firmly rooted in this duo’s interactions on stage and off.
